Usually, there are two assigned to each high school. A person who counsels there regularly told me that they're "nowhere to be seen".

So, what eventually happened to the student that assault your roommate? I wonder what taking violence against school staff members actually look like.

By the way, at what school does your roommate teach?

Sorry, I didn't reply sooner but was busy.buzoncrimehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00222344932427990980noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-764429864871986236.post-64062320743864314982008-04-09T13:56:00.000-04:002008-04-09T13:56:00.000-04:00"By the way, why didn't the principal report the i..."By the way, why didn't the principal report the incident? Betcha, 6-1, because word has come down from Dr. Alonso that our "children" need to be in school, not suspended--and she didn't want her own lack of control in the building to be noticed. (Also, she was probably saving her suspensions for when she "really" needed them.)"

I was a little surprised by the reaction of the principle in that story. My roommate is a city high school teacher, and a few months ago she filed assault charges against one of her students after he punched her. I mentioned that I wondered if they'd even bother to prosecute that around here, but she assured me they still take violence against school staff members very seriously.ppatinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09016738612222736798noreply@blogger.com
